PRIME Overview

PROBLEM

The Problem  (AKA Design Brief) is the situation I am presented with. My final work is my solution to the project. An example of a problem may be that I need to make an animation for a TV Show.

RESEARCH

Research lets me explore different ways to solve the problem. I will explore how others have solved a problem that may be similar to mine and what worked and what didn't. By looking at these, I can determine the best way to go about my work.

IDEAS

The Ideas section allows me to plan solutions, the best of which I will use in the Make stage. This way I can be best prepared for my work. Ideas may include a script for my animation, what characters are involved and a storyboard that can be involved in my animation.

MAKE

This stage lets me start my final idea and my solution to the project. I will refer back to my ideas to check that I'm going in the right direction and undertake more research in some aspects of the work (e.g. research or using certain applications).

EVALUATE

Evaluation allows me to process my work and see first-hand what worked and what didn't. The 4P's model will be used (these have been explained below).

Product - See if and how my solution solved the problem.

Process - See how the PRIME Cycle assisted my work.

Personal - See how my time management was used and also my class and home time application.

Peers - 4 people will evaluate my blog and animation.
